Terms & Legal

Draft. This is a working draft for internal use and must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer in our operating jurisdiction before publication.

1. What Stream-Split is

Stream-Split is a transient relay. You send one live broadcast from your own software (e.g. OBS) to our servers, and we forward it, unchanged, to the third-party platforms you choose. We do not record, store, edit, or publicly display your live broadcast — it passes through and is gone.

The one exception is an optional "away clip": a short clip that you create and upload yourself, so it can play on the sites you set to "away". We store that clip so the feature works. You own and control it — you can replace or delete it at any time, and it is permanently deleted with your account. For your live stream we are a conduit; for an away clip, the clip is content you create and provide, and we merely host it on your behalf.

2. Eligibility & age (18+)

The service is strictly for adults. By using Stream-Split you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, whichever is higher) and that every person appearing in your stream is at least 18. Accounts found to involve minors are terminated and reported.

3. 18 U.S.C. §2257 — conduit statement

Stream-Split does not create, produce, or record any depictions of actual or simulated sexually explicit conduct, and is not a "producer" of such content under 18 U.S.C. §2257 or §2257A. Our live transmission is a passthrough that we never record. Any away clip is created and supplied by you; you are its producer and you warrant that it (and everyone in it) complies with all applicable age-verification and record-keeping laws. Record-keeping obligations, where they apply, rest with the performer/producer and the destination platforms. We will remove any stored clip on request or where we believe it creates legal risk.

4. Your responsibilities

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Stream-Split to transmit unlawful content, to harass or impersonate, to infringe intellectual property, to distribute malware, or to circumvent the security or terms of any platform. We may suspend or remove any account that violates this policy or that we reasonably believe creates legal risk.

6. Privacy & data

We collect the minimum needed to run the service — an email address and the stream keys you add. We do not record your stream. See our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and its data at any time.

7. DMCA / copyright

We respect intellectual property rights. Because we do not store content, infringement claims generally concern the destination platforms; however, to report misuse of our service, send a notice including the work concerned, the offending account, your contact details, and a good-faith statement to dmca@stream-split.com. (Designate and register a DMCA agent before launch.)

8. No warranty; limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stream-Split is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, loss of earnings, or platform actions taken against your account arising from your use of the service.

9. Governing law, changes & contact

Stream-Split is operated from the United Kingdom. These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and you submit to the courts of England & Wales. We may update these terms; continued use means acceptance. Questions: admin@stream-split.com.
